FREE Rapid HIV Tests @ NWIC Bldg 10!!!

As a member of your TRIBE, it is your responsibility to get an HIV test and know your status. 

It is what we do for our PEOPLE!!!

 

Ti-chee is now offering FREE Rapid HIV Tests at our office in downtown Bellingham Mondays thru Thursdays from 10AM to 4PM from now until July 2012.  Receive your $20 gift card after you finish the test.  Everyone is encouraged to stop by and receive free testing and information on HIV/AIDS/HEPC/STD/Drug & Alcohol Education, Prevention, and Treatment.

 

These HIV Tests are FREE!!! for all Native Americans residing on their respective tribal lands and urban Native Americans residing in towns and cities located here in the Pacific Northwest/Northwestern Washington State.

Tuesday, March 20, 2011 is National Native HIV AIDS Awareness Day.  Ti-chee will be offering FREE Rapid HIV Testing!  Come out and get tested and receive a $20 gift certificate.  Everyone is welcome—Event location will be posted the first week of March by our volunteers.  Look for the Flyer and Poster Information.  Come out and do your part in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Indian Country.

 

Throughout the coming 2012 year, Ti-chee will be asking tribal members to become active participants in our fight against HIV/AIDS here in Indian Country among the 5 Tribes we serve, Lummi, Tulalip, Nooksack, Swinomish, and Upper-Skagit.  Because Ti-chee feels that it is absolutely essential for Tribal Members to be involved in our Expanded Rapid HIV Testing Initiative, we will be recruiting tribal members to volunteer for the following roles:

 

· Rapid HIV Testers

· Rapid HIV Tester Trainers

· Rapid HIV Testing Event Planners

· Rapid HIV Testing Event Coordinators

· Rapid HIV Testing Event Staff

· Rapid HIV Testing Event Canvassers

 

We will be utilizing this Calendar Page as a scheduling tool to let tribal members know when a training is coming up and when a Rapid HIV Testing Event is going to take place. 

 

A Rapid HIV Tester Training will be scheduled soon so check back on a regular basis for details concerning any trainings, seminars, or events taking place around your community throughout the next year.
